The Central West Week of Golf (Formerly the City of Orange Veterans Golf Classic) Golf Committee cordially invites you to our 28th Veterans Golf Classic from the 3rd to the 7th of March 2025.
We are pleased to announce that the 2025 tournament will be similar format to last year and will include three golf courses in the Central West of New South Wales, including Duntryleague and Wentworth Golf Clubs at Orange and Bathurst Golf Club.
For those players unfamiliar with Bathurst, it is the third oldest Club in New South Wales, dating back to 1894. It is a championship course with superb bent grass greens and couch fairways.
Bathurst Golf Club is approx. 50 Kms from Orange, a short 40 minute drive.
The week of golf consists of a 54-hole tournament played on each of the 2 Golf courses in Orange and a round at the historic Bathurst Golf Club. Autumn is a wonderful time to visit the Central west of New South Wales.
The Week of Golf is played on Monday at Wentworth Golf Club, Tuesday at Bathurst Golf Club and Thursday at Duntryleague Golf Club. Wednesday is a rest day where members can visit some of our large number of wineries, shops, and many attractions in Orange. and Bathurst.
A 4BBB Medley Stableford event will be played on Friday at Wentworth Golf Course.
The Award Presentation Dinner Dance will be held on Thursday Evening at The Orange Ex-Services Club commencing at 7:00pm for 7.30 dinner all competition entrants and invited guests.
This Tournament is open to all male or female veteran golfers who have a current AGU or WGA handicap.
The Main Competition is a 54-hole Stableford Handicap conducted in 3 Grades for both women and men, and the overall winners will be the Central West Veterans Golf Classic Champions for 2025.
Each day also includes an 18 Hole Stableford Competition played in 3 Grades for all entrants.
Vouchers will be awarded to the winners and place-getters up to the value of approximately $9000.00 on Thursday night at the presentation dinner. The 4BBB prizes will be awarded at the end of play on Friday.
This year the tournament will be computerized and entries available online. Players register via the Tournament Online Entry and can download the Tournament Brochure
